What's Open: How to Enjoy a Safer LA

Here's what's open in L.A. for your upcoming visit.

LA-Update

Residents and visitors must practice physical distancing, wear cloth face coverings in public and follow public health directives. Hotels and lodging are open for leisure travel.

Beaches

Los Angeles County beaches are open. Beachgoers are required to practice social distancing by staying at least six feet away from others (except between members of the same household).

Hiking

From the Batcave to beach views, explore a new trail based on your level of hiking experience. Hiking trails, trailhead parks, tennis courts, skate parks, bike parks and golf courses are open.

Museums, galleries, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens are open for indoor operations at 50% maximum capacity.

Outdoor Tours

Outdoor tour companies are beginning to reopen in compliance with public health guidelines, such as Bike & Hikes LA and Battleship IOWA. Battleship IOWA is now offering “special limited capacity” outdoor fresh-air tours that comply with public health guidelines.

Parks, Day Camps, Campgrounds, RV parks and Outdoor Recreation

 Retail, shopping malls and shopping centers are open with occupancy limited to 75% of capacity.

Personal care services ( Hair salons, nail salons, barbershops), are open for indoor operations at 50% capacity. Gyms, fitness centers, yoga and dance studios are open for indoor operations at 25% capacity, with masking required; outdoor fitness operations are also open.
